Saturday, January 28, 2006 @ 8:51 AM i must stop feeling like this already.. must stop being so competitive.. i feel so mean when i always strive to out-win (is there such a word?) someone here when all they do after you win them' is say," holy, debbie thats really great! i'm so proud of you!"..well of course, this was never said by my homestaymum.. but probably her daughter..cuz she has canadian blood in her.. this is one of the many encouraging convos i had with canadians here..(parts with '#' were edited) kyla says: how did you do? Debbie says: Ms summerfeldt's class is awesome kyla says: that's what i hear Debbie says: yup ypu Canadians are really polite.. they really are. and you dont get such responses from people in sg.. when ever someone tells his/her friend that she does very well in this particular subject, that friend of hers will go..'wah lao, pro la you! still say you never mug.. eh this time must treat me liao har..' . then, the next time she wants to prepare for her exams, her this friend and other friends will have 'labelled' her as someone who mugs all day and has no life at all - then they start making fun of her and bitch about her behind her back.. i m not saying everyone is like that but majority.. even i do sometimes.. i guess thats just jealousy that got me :(( i've got lots to learn from the people here!
