prepare to be bored to death while reading this one.. dont say i didnt warn you.. yay! the finals are over! and this means that five months have passed...well, maybe the only first few weeks snailed by, but the days after that...blah!... oh well, whatever the case, i am back here for proper blogging.. and the next time i will stop blogging for such a long period will be the time i am doing my 2nd semester's finals..now now, that exam better get its butt here q-u-i-c-k ! haha, mad freak!!! yea i know...<theres a reason behind it tho> okay.. today's blog will be ultra long.. partly to make up for the past two weeks and partly cuz i have nothing better to do... and not everyone here are done with their finals yet... so yup, you could skip this part if you want... ----------------------------------------- i started revision a week ahead, started on chemistry from fri to mon.. then my physics teacher threw us a thick stack of review sheets on tues and we have to finish it within two days <orelse we dont get the correct answers (not solutions--only answers) to the questions>.. meaning till thurs(last day of sch before finals).. there were 108 questions in the whole package.. stayed up till 0300am on tues and wed and.. ..slept in on thurs.. woke up at 1000am instead of 0800.. was late for school..<first time in my whole life>, got to school in time for physics lesson and corrected the whole physics package<Tis horrible story all by itself --shan't elaborate>, had my first final (EL-A30) on fri.. twas okay.. mugg physics from fri to sat afternoon..mugg maths from sat afternoon to night.. met chops on msn that night.. <really sweet of her to send me one of her photos>..thought she looked like a baby lamb with short hair..her sis looks much older than her.. ''cooooo..baby lamb... maa maa maaaaaaaaa..." heh! chops gonna get me for this :s woke up early on sun, webcammed with chops..<was described as mature?? #%$!&^@> slept at 1000pm woke at 0630am, mugg abit more, went for maths-b30 finals on mon 0900am, mugg for physics finals, slept at arnd 1100pm... woke at 0600, mugg till 0900, physics teacher printed batman cartoon all over our physics exam script to so-call 'de-stress' us...<found it very distracting tho>.. spent two hours trying to overcome the shockingly-huge impact tt physics had on me before starting to mugg for chem..slept at 1100pm.. woke at 0630am, mugg till 0900 and took chem final--it was..well..i would say, better than physics.. then, i cleared up my room (which was just now) ---------------------------------------- okay, now for some random thoughts about my past five months..i am warning you this is a long entry.. <actually these memories came back to me while i was clearing up my room--one of the amazing things, that a messy room scattered with pieces of looseleafs, can do to you> yea, lets see.. so during the past five months, i had quite a time here... managed to: -get use to the drastic change in weather -learn to appreciate my close ones (includs family & friends) -realise that not everyone who is 'willing' to look after you wants the best for you..mstprb want the worst for you -deal with real sacarsm -how to say 'no' -canadians are really friendly people (not all, only some) -how to write a cheque -withdraw credit using a card -some html language & wee bit of french.. -how to look on the positive side of most things -realise that mama's home-cooked food is the best food ever -........<blahblah> i guess i am less dependent on ppl now... recall..the bus interchange incident, my gosh like how blurr can i get.. i lost my sense of direction and got lost in the neighbourhood.. cuz there's a junction outside where i live, so i headed to one of the four paths.. and realised it was the wrong one..then when i got back to the junction, i forgot which was the path i came from initially.. tried another two more paths before i got to my destination.. haha..dummy! nevermind that.. oh..and i learnt how to extract my own dna.. great experience i must say.. i still have the small tube of dna with me now(found it while cleaning up)..wanted to post a pict of it up here but figured you woulnt be able to see it..especially when i have to squint so hard to see the thin thread of dna floating in the solution when the tube is in my hands--much less you trying to see it from a picture.. oh right.. thanks maa-maa jie for the 'good luck' ecard.. thinking of what she wrote in there.. i rmb i got a confirmation from ubc & uos just last week.. and some areas which i could potentially get into would be agri-bio, microbio, biotech--the 'extract dna' stuff belongs here... lastly..CNY is just around the corner..should i be happy or sad... *thinking deeply* nah!!! its a new year..i mean c'mon..xin nian kuai le to everyone.. also, jie told me she is going to perform on cny in school..guess its co ba?!! good luck to all the performers-- and jie agrees with me that cellobase r a w k s... happy chinese new year everyone ! ! ! |
