x [lOvELy xMas] x harloe... its been a very long time since i last blog...reason being... i had sooooooooo many tests for the past few weeks....and... woo hoo!!!!!!!!! my family is here with me... so a rough update on what has been going on... my mum is incharged of putting all the goodies she brought for me (cookies, clothes, noodles, milo, royce chocolates, etcetc )... my dad is incharged of helping me apply for universities... my brother volunteered to be incharged of finishing my halloween sweets. both my parents are also cooking many food for dinner for everyone. today, they cooked curry and boiled veggie... boiled veggie?!!!!! can you imagine that, i was so pathetic... its plain old boiled veggie with a bit of salt and oil... okay...its not that my homestaymum did not cook vegie for me..but the ones she cooks are limpy, soft, and greenish brown... basically, she just overcooked it... most of the time she gives me raw cabbage to eat... yar...it tastes okay, but... i guess i just miss my mum/dad's boiled veggies... hahahhaha my mum agreed with me that my homestaymum is fierce and "ngiao" and that she is very kiasu. see?!?!?! i was right that this homestaymum of mine is horrible!!!!!!!!!! and my mum even told me not to make her angry or jealous...she said that she could see that this homestaymum gets jealous very easily. oh...and about the curry she cooked today.. the homestaymum was standing beside her and watching her cook..and was jotting down the stuff and the things my mum added into the pot and how she cooked it. then she asked my mum if she cooks at home all the time..like duh!!! she cooks wonderful food...ofcourse la... then she asked my mum if there are any other things that she cook at home (in singapore) then my mum said yes...then blah blah blah and she wanted my mum to teach her how to cook them... my mum told me that she(my mum) is sure that she(my homestaymum) will not be able to cook the same delicious curry again next week during the party at her house... then...my mum told me that...if she asks me why she cannnot cook it like my mum...i must tell her that she did not use fresh chicken... hahahha...its not the truth la...but my mum wanted me to tell her this so that she will be forced to use fresh chicken instead of the cheapo type of frozen chicken stored in her fridge for dunno how many donkey months... oh well.... basically, my whole family is bitching about this homestay family i am living with...even my brother is bitching about them happily...hahahhaha i enjoyed my stay so far with my family...its now holidays for me and i will be able to spent the rest of my time with my family members... YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
